equal pacE: train-the-trainer workshops for social partners and multipliers

The workshops for social partners and multipliers took place in five European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Poland and the United Kingdom). Target participants were:

  • Social partners (employer and business organisations, unions, work councils)
  • Multipliers (e.g. associations promoting gender equality)
  • Public authorities

The workshops aimed at providing participants with strategies and tools to support their member institutions in attracting and retaining top talent irrespective of gender and thus contribute to a reduction of the gender pay gap. Hence, the objectives of the workshops were:

  • To introduce how equal pacE contributes to a reduction of the gender pay gap
  • To understand the status quo of the gender pay gap and its main drivers
  • To learn how companies can detect a potential gender pay gap and what they can do to reduce it
  • To understand how participants can systematically promote activities regarding the reduction of the gender pay gap and position themselves successfully
  • To discuss how other countries are tackling this issue and broaden your network by discussing innovative strategies with peers

Main focal point of discussion was the equal pacE web tool. The equal pacE web tool helps businesses to analyse their personnel and pay structure and hereby enhances transparency regarding a potential gender pay gap. Results highlight need for action and recommendations are provided to strengthen their personnel structures - irrespective of gender. The equal pacE web tool is easy to use and free of charge.

Workshop participants received comprehensive material for use in their initiatives. The workshops were open to up to 15 representatives of social partner organisations, multipliers and public authorities.
